Children ages 18 and under are invited to participate in the Auxiliary of Shore Memorial’s Annual Carole Schiavo Kids Swim for Health on Friday, July 10 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Mainland Recreational Association (MRA) located at Central Avenue in Linwood. Swimmers do not have to be members of the MRA to participate in this event.

Participants are asked to collect pledges for the total number of laps they swim. All proceeds from the swim will benefit Shore Tomorrow—The Campaign for Shore Memorial Hospital. Last year’s swimmers swam a total of 10,490 laps and raised $12,294 for Shore Memorial Hospital.

Prizes will be awarded to the highest fundraisers, and trophies will be given to the top swimmers in each age category. All swimmers who raise over $100 will receive two books of 30 tickets from Gillian’s Wonderland Pier.

The cost is $5, but all swimmers who earn pledges will receive a free T-shirt. For more information or to sign up, contact Lisa Boccabella, Auxiliary coordinator at 609-653-4646 or lboccabella@shorememorial.org.
