Nationally Accredited

Shore Medical Center is nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects a hospital's commitment to meeting defined performance criteria. To earn and maintain The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission survey team at least every three years.

Nationally Certified Primary Stroke Center

Shore Medical Center earned the The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval™ as a certified Primary Stroke Center in 2005 and was re-accredited in 2007.

Nationally Certified Neurosurgical Spine Program

Shore Medical Center is one of the few hospitals in the region to earn the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for its Lumbar and Cervical Spine Surgery Programs.
