Performance Improvement Surveys

One of the many ways Shore Medical Center identifies needs for performance improvement is through onsite surveys by our regulatory accrediting agencies, such as The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS).

The regulatory agencies make information available to the public via the internet. The purpose of these websites is to help patients find information that will allow them to make informed decisions about the organizations they choose for health care. While these websites are useful tools, they should not be considered the only measure of an organization’s quality or a framework for selecting a hospital. Other equally important factors include past experience with the hospital and recommendations by physician, family and friends.

It is important to note that the information found on these websites can have a six month lag time from when the data is reported to when it is posted. The links below may be helpful to find publicly reported information about Shore Memorial.
