The expertise and experience of renowned thoracic surgeon Taine Pechet, M.D., vice chief of surgery at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is available on-site at the Shore Memorial Cancer Center and the Penn Lung Center at Shore Medical Center.

The center provides patients with a dedicated group of clinical experts to determine the best management of their lung cancer and other diseases of the chest. The thoracic team provides guidance, support and comfort during every phase of care — from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

A dedicated nurse navigator helps identify patient care needs, evaluate treatment options, offer solutions and provide the ongoing support needed to help patients plan and manage decisions. This oncology-certified nurse is available to ease the burden on patients and families, collaborate with all members of the medical team and help patients understand their diagnosis and available treatment options.

The Penn Lung Center is located in the hospital’s Cancer Center in Somers Point, New Jersey. The center is thoughtfully designed to support the special needs of cancer patients and their families.
