Join the Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center and have fun making a difference! The Auxiliary of Shore is the hospital’s original fundraising organization with a legacy that stretches back to the hospital’s founding in 1940. Funds raised by the Auxiliary have helped build new facilities and buy new equipment. Over the past 30 years, the Auxiliary has contributed more than $8 million to benefit Shore Medical Center.
Recent gifts include:
- $2 million to the Legacy Campaign for the CardioVascular Institute
- $2 million for the expanded Critical Care Center
- $1 million for the Pediatric Care Center
- $500,000 for the Cancer Center
Other Auxiliary gifts have supported maternity, endoscopy, diagnostic imaging, education and nursing fellowships.
The Auxiliary generates its charitable revenues from a variety of sources, including the gift shop located in the hospital lobby; thrift shops located in Somers Point, Seaville and Egg Harbor Township, annual golf tournaments and fashion shows; and from raffles, sales, and community events held throughout the year.
