The Stainton Society — Together...Building for the Future

The Stainton Society is the largest fundraising organization in the Foundation family and remains a critical part of Shore's overall development effort.

In the spirit of Howard Stainton's humble philanthropy, the Stainton Society was founded in 1989 to allow individuals, families and businesses to pledge annual support to Shore Medical Center through membership. Annual pledges range from $500 to $10,000 and above.

Since then, the Society has grown to over 600 members and has contributed more than $11 million for important projects and programs, including new medical technology, a new Cancer Center, CardioVascular Institute, Joint Replacement Operating Suite and expansions to our Maternal Child Health Center and Emergency Department.

For their generosity and commitment, Stainton Society members are recognized in the lobby of the hospital and in full-page newspaper advertisements - plus members will receive an exclusive invitation to our annual brunch each year featuring a nationally prominent celebrity speaker. This year, we are pleased to announce Charles Gibson, one of the most distinguished journalists in television, as our featured speaker.
