Christopher Furey of Strathmere turned six-years old on October 26th. But instead of receiving toys at his birthday party, he asked friends to make a donation to Shore Memorial Hospital. Christopher was able to collect $300 for the children’s programs at the hospital. Last year, Christopher’s older brother Brian also collected money for pediatric programs at Shore Memorial on his birthday, and Christopher proudly follows in his brothers footsteps. Their mother, Christine, is extremely proud of both her sons, adding “My boys are blessed with enough toys and fun stuff. It means so much more to them that they do something for others who need it more than we do.” Christopher and Brian attend Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School in Cape May Court House.
