Shore Medical Center Auxiliary Celebrates the Season with Tree of Lights Event

December 07, 2011

The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center celebrated the start of the holiday season with its 20th Annual Tree of Lights Event Sunday, December 4, in the atrium lobby of the hospital’s new surgical pavilion.

Members of the community were invited to commemorate family and friends by making a Memorial or Honorary donation and having their names inscribed in the Tree of Lights book, which will be on display in Shore’s lobby throughout the holiday season.

The Auxiliary raised more than $4,500 in generous donations. All proceeds benefit Shore Medical Center’s existing surgical pavilion and campus expansion.

Bill Elliott, executive director of the Shore Medical Center Foundation hosted the event, which also featured performances by the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church Handbell Quartet, Michael Green, Ocean City Dance Place and the Ocean City Repertory Theater.
