September 26, 2012

On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, the Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center hosted “Fun Fashions for All Occasions,” its 21st Annual Fall Thrift Shop Fashion Show and Luncheon at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, NJ.

This year, the event raised more than $14,000, which will go towards the Auxiliary’s $2.5 million pledge for the medical center’s Surgical Pavilion and Campus Expansion.

Close to 300 people attended the event, which featured shopping, chance auction, silent auction and lunch before Auxiliary members modeled a sampling of the fashions available for sale. All items came from the Auxiliary’s Thrift Shops located in Somers Point and Marmora, NJ.

The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center is Shore’s original fundraising organization. Part of the Shore Medical Center Foundation, the Auxiliary is made up of dedicated volunteers who work throughout the year on initiatives that include the hospital gift shop, thrift shops, golf tournaments and other community events.
