An Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center tradition returns on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 6 pm in the Ben and Flora Baker Surgical Pavilion Lobby when Shore unveils its holiday Tree of Lights. Festive music, light refreshments and fellowship will culminate with the lighting of this year’s tree at the annual holiday celebration.
The memory of family and friends can be particularly poignant during the holiday season, and the Tree of Lights is one way to commemorate those them while also assisting the Auxiliary in its mission to support Shore Medical Center.
With a Memorial or Honorary donation of $10, $20 or $50, a cherished family member’s or friend’s name will be printed in Shore’s Tree of Lights book, which will be on display in the Surgical Pavilion Lobby throughout the holiday season. In addition, a notification card can be mailed as a holiday gift or season’s greeting wish.
The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center is Shore’s original fundraising organization. Part of the Shore Medical Center Foundation, the Auxiliary is made up of dedicated volunteers who work throughout the year on initiatives that include the hospital gift shop, thrift shops, golf tournaments and other community events.
All proceeds from the Tree of Lights will benefit Shore Medical Center’s Surgical Pavilion and Campus Expansion. To honor or memorialize someone in the Tree of Lights book, please call the Auxiliary office at 609-653-4646.
