October Employee of the Month Recognized for Providing Quick and Accurate IT Solutions

October 28, 2008

The ability to quickly assist and support others has earned Ed Faber the honor of being named Shore Memorial Hospital’s October Employee of the Month.

Faber, a help desk technician in the hospital’s Information Systems department, began his career at Shore Memorial in 2006 in his current position. His responsibilities include interacting with employees in all areas of the hospital to resolve challenges that require additional IT skills and experience.

“Whenever I need assistance with my computer, Ed is always very pleasant and eager to help out,” says Nancy Manderson, plant operations department secretary who nominated Ed for Employee of the Month. “It is so nice to work with someone who cares about other people and takes such pride in his work.”

On being selected as Employee of the Month, Faber was honored to have been recognized by his peers. “One of the reasons that I enjoy my job is because it allows me to help others at the hospital,” Faber said.

An area native, Faber lives in Egg Harbor Township with his wife Maureen and daughter Hayley. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He has a network professional degree from The Cittone Institute and will graduate in December with an associate’s degree in computer information systems from Atlantic Cape Community College. He also has several Microsoft certifications including MCSE, MCSA, MCP and A+.
