December Employee of the Month Recognized for Positive Attitude and Dedication

December 10, 2008

An enthusiastic approach to work and a team player attitude have earned Julie Kin, CRCST, the honor of being named Shore Memorial’s December Employee of the Month.
Kin, a technician in the sterile processing department, began her career at Shore Memorial in 2000 as a temporary sterile processing department aide. In 2003, she became certified as a technician and since then has been cross trained in all areas of the department.
“Julie steps up to the plate and freely takes on additional responsibilities when extra help is needed,” says Katherine Jones, sterile processing department manager. “She instinctively does what has to be done to complete a job.”
On being selected as Employee of the Month, Kin was surprised but excited to be chosen. “I have always enjoyed working here because of the atmosphere. It feels like working with family,” Kin said. “And I am continuing a family tradition since both of my parents worked here.”
An area native, Kin lives in Somers Point. In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with family and volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
