Shore Medical Center is proud to recognize Nurse Aide Fernando Perez as its December 2013 Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients.
The Guardian Angel Program was established to enable patients to say thank you to a special caregiver through a donation to Shore Medical Center.
Perez, of Somers Point, NJ, joined Shore in October of 2009 as a patient companion before training as a certified nurse aide. He joined the 5th Stainton Unit in August of 2012, and Nurse Manager Luanne McGroarty, BSN, RN-BC, said he quickly became a valued member of the 5th Stainton team.
“Some adjectives used to describe Fernando are hardworking, conscientious, caring, humble, sincere and passionate,” said McGroarty. “As his manager, I am frequently asked by patients why Fernando has to be off and why can’t he be off after I’ve gone home. Fernando gives 100 percent to everything he does and is a pleasure to work with.”
The Guardian Angel program recognizes anyone who works at Shore Medical Center and makes an impact and difference in your care. Guardian Angels are recognized amongst their peers and are presented with a special Guardian Angel pin at Shore Medical Center’s annual pinning ceremony. If you, a family member or friend would like to honor a Shore Medical Center Guardian Angel, please contact the Shore Medical Center Foundation at 609-653-3800 or GiveToShore.org.
