Shore Medical Center is pleased to announce that Health Information Management Services (HIMS) Director Calla Waldron-Buck, MBA, RHIA, CHTS-TR, CCS, is the recipient of the medical center’s Leadership Profile Award. Presented periodically throughout the year, this award honors managerial staff for their leadership, productivity and commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
Waldron-Buck joined Shore Medical Center on April 1, 2002, and has spent her entire career working in the HIMS department. However, her influence spreads far beyond her area of expertise. She has been a longtime supporter of the medical center’s Planetree initiative, and serves on the organization’s Spirit of Shore Steering Committee.
Most recently, she took an active role in the implementation of ICD-10, the massive overhaul of Shore’s coding system that launched on October 1. Waldron-Buck is also Shore’s United Way champion, spearheading events to support the organization throughout the year.
“I am extremely honored to be recognized with this award,” Waldron-Buck said. “A leader is only as effective as their team, and the people I work with inspire me to do my best every day.”
Waldron-Buck lives in Landisville, NJ, with her husband Brady. In her free time she enjoys cycling, gardening and knitting.
