Shore Medical Center Clinical Educator Jeanette Frasca, MSN, RN-BC, ONC, was recognized as the medical center’s 2015 Employee of the Year at Shore’s annual Employee of the Year ceremony, held March 2, 2015 in DiOrio Hall, where she was recognized for her commitment to providing superior care and her reputation as a role model to her colleagues. Surrounded by her co-workers and Shore leadership, Frasca received a special plaque to commemorate her honor. Frasca, who was selected from a pool of 12 Employee of the Month candidates, was Shore’s Employee of the Month for February of 2015.
Frasca joined Shore in 1989 as a medical-surgical nurse on Shore’s 3rd Hayes, 4th Hayes, and 4th Whitby floors. In 2007, Frasca became a clinical educator, a position she still holds today.
Frasca’s colleagues say she is a role model who has developed a reputation as a kind-hearted mentor, always willing to help others. She has an attention to detail that others can learn from, and possesses a compassion that leads her to treat each patient as if they were a member of her own family.
Shore’s Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer Linda Kenwood, BSN, MSN, says Jeanette embodies all that is great about Shore. “Jeanette has earned widespread praise for her ability to work with staff across the organization,” Kenwood said. “She is always quick to offer assistance to anyone in need. And she possesses patience and the ability to communicate that makes her an excellent teacher and resource to all.”
Frasca was deeply moved by the recognition. “Here at Shore there are so many people who come to work and give 100 percent in all that they do for our patients and each other. To be part of this team and presented with such an honor is something I will cherish forever,” Frasca said.
A resident of Palermo, Frasca enjoys spending time with friends and family, including husband Rich and their children Jessica, Derek and Dylan. She enjoys skiing, running, and going to the beach.
