Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS)

Summary:

The goal of the PALS Provider Course is to teach healthcare providers to recognize respiratory failure & shock and to identify risk factors for cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.

Description:

This two-day course provides participants with strategies for preventing injuries and cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. It also teaches participants how to perform the cognitive and psychomotor skills for resuscitating and stabilizing infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest.

PALS Full Course (2 days)

Course Fee: $275
Manual: $50 (American Heart Association PALS Manual 15-1058 Required for class)

* The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

Prerequisites:

  • Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers card
  • Completion of on-line Pre-Test with a minimum score of 70%

Course Materials:

Welcome letter, directions and provider manual, if purchased through us, will be sent to you upon receipt of your completed registration form and payment.

It is strongly suggested that all participants read the provider manual prior to class.

Course registration is not confirmed until you have received our welcome letter, directions and manual, if purchasing from us. If you do not receive your materials within two weeks after submitting your registration form, please contact the Training Center at 609-653-3962.
