Shore Medical Center Names Employee Pharmacist Jen Runfolo its March Employee of the Month

May 01, 2018

For consistently delivering outstanding patient-centered service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values, Shore is proud to announce that Employee Pharmacist Jen Runfolo has been named the medical center’s March 2018 Employee of the Month.

Runfolo has been with Shore since the inception of the Employee Pharmacy in 2008. In her role, Jennifer provides care to Shore’s most precious resources: its staff. She always goes the extra mile, whether it’s to search for coupons on employee prescriptions to help reduce the cost, or to contact physicians for refills. Jennifer truly cares for the team at Shore, and helps to put their minds at ease while providing a service that allows them to focus on their patients.

Pharmacy Director Matt Piskun says Runfolo makes customer service a priority.

“She is always two steps ahead, all the time.”

Runfolo says that her colleagues at Shore have become like her extended family, and keeping them healthy is her top priority.

“I know when coworkers come to see me it is because they or someone in their family is unwell. I feel that treating people with empathy and compassion are the keys to a positive work environment.”

A resident of Hammonton, Runfolo enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her son Zachary, a freshman in high school. She loves Broadway and any type of community theater, traveling with her son, and independent films.  Runfolo is a graduate of Rutgers University and a member of the Medical Reserve Corps of Atlantic County.
