For consistently delivering outstanding patient-centered service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values, Shore is proud to announce that Experience Coordinator and Internal Communications Specialist Kevin Clapp has been named the medical center’s September 2017 Employee of the Month.
Clapp joined the Shore Medical Center team in 2011 as marketing coordinator after many years working in newspaper journalism. In 2014, he transitioned to the patient experience department, where his portfolio has grown to include New Employee Orientation, Reward & Recognition programs, patient satisfaction survey data analysis, special event coordination, plus internal communication writing and design work.
Debbie Cisneros, MSN, RN-BC, director of clinical education, says Clapp is never too busy to lend a hand to his colleagues.
“Kevin’s mantra is ‘what can I do for you today?’ He juggles numerous plates in the air, but his calm demeanor is unflappable and his quiet sense of humor can always make people smile in the midst of our busyness.”
Clapp says he is extremely humbled to be recognized.
“So many people are deserving of this award because they give everything they’ve got and more to care for patients, loved ones and each other. This just motivates me to live up to the standard they set.”
Clapp resides in Mays Landing with his wife Stacey and their 11-year-old twins, Joshua and Abigail. He enjoys running, reading and staying active with his children’s activities.
