For consistently delivering outstanding patient-centered service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values, Shore is proud to announce that Storeroom Inventory Control Specialist Michael Thompson has been named the medical center’s April 2020 Employee of the Month. Thompson is responsible for ensuring staff throughout the hospital have the supplies they need to care for patients and perform their roles.
Shore Administrative Director of Logistics Bob Robertson says Thompson is an excellent employee, and the timing of his recognition couldn’t be more appropriate.
“During this crisis, Mike has taken great pride in making sure products are available to our staff. His diligent work has resulted in Shore’s ability to stay supplied with all forms of personal protective equipment (PPE).”
Maria Sanchez from Shore’s Cardiac Services department says Thompson goes above and beyond to make sure her department receives patient care supplies in a timely fashion.
“Michael is always pleasant and professional, and helpful with the computer software we use to order supplies. If he is unable to resolve issues with the software, he follows through to get us immediate help from the right source,” Sanchez says. “Michael is always pleasant and professional and is a dedicated employee who should be noticed for all of his teamwork.”
