Shore Names Wendy Baldwin, RN, its January Guardian Angel

January 02, 2020

Shore Medical Center is proud to recognize Wendy Baldwin, RN, as its first Guardian Angel of the month in 2020. Baldwin is a staff nurse in the maternity unit and is dual certified in inpatient obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring.

Baldwin has been a nurse for 36 years, starting in medical/surgical nursing but discovered her passion for labor and delivery over 30 years ago. She joined the Shore family in 2017.

Maternity Nurse Manager Nicole DeCicco, RN, MSN said Baldwin is a wonderful caregiver and exemplifies the Shore Medical Center patient-centered philosophy.

“Wendy is always putting patients and their families first and foremost and is an amazing patient advocate,” DeCicco said. “I am truly so appreciative to have Wendy as a part of our team. She is always there to help, gives so much to her patients and is so very helpful when it comes to finding better ways to improve patient care and experiences. Her empathetic, kind and gentle demeanor is a gift to her patients as well as her coworkers.”

The grateful patient that nominated Wendy Baldwin had this to say about her:

“Words cannot express the appreciation we have for Wendy and our host of Guardian Angels. Wendy helped in providing comfort and assistance and we were so grateful.”

A resident of Rio Grande, Baldwin enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and her two dogs when she is away from work.
