#ShoreHealthcareHeroes come in all shapes and sizes. In the case of the Nursing Administration Team they also come in clinical and non-clinical form.
The Non-Clinical staff, Diane Severino, Diane Karrash and Mary Jaquett are the front door to anyone requiring assistance in Nursing Administration and providing support to the managers and staff. Their steadfast approach to any and all requests, either in person or via phone, are all done with patience and reassurance that the person on the receiving end is satisfied with the outcome.
Throughout the pandemic the office staff has been here every day in support of the cause and to make sure everyone else's job is a little bit easier.
The Clinical Staff consist of the Nursing Supervisors. The Supervisor is on campus during off hours, when management takes a much needed break from the day’s events, to provide the consistency and support to the staff, the physicians and Shore's patients. There is no telling what the shift holds for the Supervisor as they need to be prepared at a moment’s notice to respond and address whatever comes their way. All of this is done without all of the resources available during normal business hours.
“The Nursing Supervisors; Heidi King, Margie Meyers, Colleen Casper, Kathy Hazen and Connie Kelly have to be all knowing and grace under fire during the best of times,” said Pat Otaegui, Administrative Director of Nursing Administration. “But I would be remiss if I didn't mention how the pandemic has added a layer of challenges that have caused them to be creative and supportive in ways they have never been before.
“The Nursing Administration Team contains an awesome group of people who have supported me over the past years and I want to "Thank" all of my team for always being there, added Otaegui. “They are my HEROES!"
