Hospitalist Services

If you've been admitted to Shore Medical Center you may be taken care of by one of our physician specialists, known as hospitalists. These doctors staff the hospital 24 hours a day to monitor your condition, maintain continuity of care and ensure quality treatment. Your Shore Medical Center hospitalist will coordinate your hospital care with your primary care physician.

The hospitalist will also provide your physician with a written report of your hospital care and a copy of your discharge instructions prior to your first follow-up visit with your physician.

As part of the CHOP Newborn & Pediatric Care Program at Shore Medical Center, hospitalist services for pediatric patients are provided by CHOP pediatricians.
