Cardiac and Vascular Testing Services

Shore Medical Center's CardioVascular Institute provides patients with both non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat heart and vascular diseases.

Low-risk diagnostic cardiac catherterization is provided on-site through an affiliation with PENN Cardiac Care at Presbyterian Medical Center/University of Pennsylvania Health System.

A non-invasive heart and lung testing center for both inpatients and outpatients provides the following services:

  • Echocardiogram
  • EEG (electroencephalogram)
  • EKG (electrocardiogram)
  • Holter monitoring
  • Cardiac stress testing
  • TEE (transesophageal echocardiography)
  • Cardiac Rehab
  • Vascular Ultrasound

Non-invasive Cardiac and Vascular Diagnostics

Other means of diagnosis and medical data collection include an array of non-invasive procedures such as stress tests, ultrasound, echocardiography, electrocardiography(EKG) testing. Advanced digital MRI and CT scan imaging technology enables early detection of aneurysm, blood clots, heart disease, stroke and other vascular problems.

The Vascular Care Center

In the Vascular Care Center, board-certified physicians skillfully use a combination of catheters, guidewires, stents, balloons and radiological imaging technology during various procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions without surgery.
