LEED Certification

Shore Medical Center's Surgical Pavilion and Campus Expansion maximize energy efficiencies, using modern “green” building materials and concepts.

These and other sustainable elements have placed the Surgical Pavilion on track to receive Silver Certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). LEED provides independent, third-party verification that a building, home or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
