Vascular Care

The integration of advanced tools and skilled specialists has made the CardioVascular Institute at Shore Medical Center the region's most comprehensive program for stroke prevention, limb preservation, detection and treatment of aneurysms, and circulation improvement for inpatients and outpatients.

The hospital's vascular diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities include advanced ultrasound computer enhanced imaging in our non-invasive vascular lab; and the special procedures suite for such procedures as angioplasty and diagnostic angiography. Our board-certified physicians skillfully use a combination of catheters, guidewires, stents, balloons and radiological imaging - performing various special procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions without surgery. Many procedures that were previously performed in an operating room setting are now accomplished with reduced risk on an outpatient basis or with a short hospital stay. Additionally, when determined medically necessary, our team of highly skilled, board-certified vascular surgeons performs hundreds of specialized surgical procedures each year. The vascular care operating suites are equipped with the most advanced imaging, diagnostic and interventional technology.

Across Shore Road from the hospital is Shore Physicians Group's Vascular Testing and Diagnostic Center. The SPG Vascular Testing & Diagnostic Center performs high-quality exams approved by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Studies are reviewed by Shore Physicians Group vascular surgeon, Dr. Matthew Lawrence, DO, FACS. Learn more >
