For consistently delivering outstanding service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s mission, vision and values, Eunsuk “Suki” DiTizio, RN, of Egg Harbor Township has been named Shore’s December Employee of the Month.
DiTizio began her career with Shore in 1998 as a nurse on the Labor & Delivery Unit, where she worked until 2014. She then transitioned to Penn Medicine Maternal Fetal Medicine located at Shore’s Medical Office Building, where she cares for high risk obstetrics patients in partnership with the Penn Medicine physicians. In her role, she conducts fetal monitoring, genetic screenings, provides education for diabetes in pregnancy, medication management, lab reviews and much more.
Lisa Lappin, RN, Maternal Fetal Medicine Nurse Manager, says that DiTizio is a kind, compassionate and conscientious nurse who is meticulous in caring for patients and providing them with education and information they need to maintain their health during pregnancy.
“Suki always goes the extra mile to do whatever is needed for the patients, whether it’s providing education on their diagnosis, helping them find local food bank services or the best price for their prescriptions. She is an invaluable team player and an excellent liaison with OB offices and providers to ensure we are all providing comprehensive continuity of care.”
Lappin continued, “Suki really stepped up to the plate this past year and took on the role of Charge Nurse during a period of time when the manager was on leave. She learned managerial duties, billing, scheduling of patients and staff, and much more, ensuring the office was able to continue working without disruptions. She takes great pride in her work and it is evident in everything she does.”
In her spare time, DiTizio enjoys playing pickleball, traveling with her family, community service and luncheons with the OB staff.
