Shore Medical Center Names Guest Services Representative Rodel Luciano of Absecon its May Guardian Angel of the Month

Shore Medical Center announced today that Unidine Guest Services Representative Rodel Luciano, of Absecon, has been named its May Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to its patients. Shore established the Guardian Angel program to enable community members to say 'thank you' to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center in their honor.

As a Guest Services Representative with Unidine, Shore Medical Center’s dining services provider, Luciano strives to create an exceptional dining experience for all patients. He assists patients with their meal selection and ensures they are delivered hot and fresh and on time.

Luciano’s supervisor, Timothy Haring, Unidine Dining Services Director, says that he has demonstrated a natural ability to perform customer service and he exceeds the level of service the nutrition department strives to provide.

“Rodel has been with Unidine for only six months, but in that time he has proven to be patient, helpful, calm and dedicated. He works very well with all of the staff,” Haring said.

A patient’s family member who made a Guardian Angel donation to Shore Medical Center in Luciano’s honor had this to say about him:

“Rodel, thank you for your kindness, attention and for the care you provided our mother when she spent 17 days in the hospital. You went above and beyond to make sure she was well nourished and received her favorite things. Please know how instrumental you were in her recovery.”

Shore Medical Center’s Guardian Angel program provides an opportunity for patients and families to recognize anyone at Shore who makes a difference in their care or experience. Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin at Shore’s annual pinning ceremony.
