Shore Medical Center Names Lactation Consultant Beth Toner, RN, IBCLC, its March Guardian Angel of the Month

Shore Medical Center announced today that Lactation Consultant Beth Toner, RN, IBCLC, of Mt. Laurel has been named its March Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional patient care. Shore established the Guardian Angel program to enable community members to say 'thank you' to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center in their honor.

Toner began her career at Shore less than one year ago. As a lactation consultant, Toner supports lactation by helping parents establish milk supply, address feeding challenges, and assists with special cases like preterm infants or medical conditions. She provides education on nursing, pumping, and weaning while collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal feeding plans.

“Beth is very caring and helpful to her patients,” says Nicole DeCicco, RN, MSN, Administrative Director of Maternal Child Health. “She is full of joy and brings a positive attitude to our unit, helping create a great work environment. Beth is a team player and a true asset to Shore and our community.”

A family recently made a Guardian Angel donation to the medical center in Toner’s honor and had this to say about her:

“Beth really helped us out as new parents. She is so knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Thanks to Beth’s help, our baby is growing healthy and strong.”

Outside of work, Toner enjoys spending time with her family and children.

Shore Medical Center's Guardian Angel program provides an opportunity for patients and families to recognize anyone at Shore who makes a difference in their care or experience. Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin at Shore's annual pinning ceremony.
