Shore Medical Center announced today that Lacey Straub, MSN, BSN, RN, of Egg Harbor Township, is the recipient of its prestigious Employee of the Year award. Straub is a nurse on Shore’s 5 Stainton inpatient unit. The announcement was made during a March 7 ceremony led by Vice President of Human Resources Vince Azzarello.
Shore Medical Center’s Employee of the Year is selected by peers through a voting process from a pool of Employees of the Month. Straub, who has worked at Shore since 2014, was Shore Medical Center’s August 2023 Employee of the Month for her outstanding commitment to patient care, professionalism, and her colleagues.
"Lacey exemplifies the spirit of Shore in every aspect of her work," said Azzarello. "Her expertise, compassion, and her bedside manner set her apart as an exceptional individual. Whether in times of ease or challenge, Lacey's dedication to her patients and her team shines through, making her an invaluable asset to our organization."
According to Jill Shultz, MSN, RN, Interim Chief Nursing Officer, "Lacey is a phenomenal team player who consistently goes the extra mile for her patients and colleagues. Her dedication to providing exceptional care and her willingness to support and educate new staff members make her an invaluable member of our team. Straub is married with two boys and enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach or in her garden. She also serves as a nursing instructor at Stockton University.
